Primary School \u201cKosta \u0110uki\u0107\u201d is located in the beautiful surroundings of Selters Spa, approximately two kilometers from the city center, on the main road leading to Kragujevac.
\nThe school is named after the distinguished World War II fighter Konstantin \u2013 Kosta \u0110uki\u0107.<\/span>.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n

Konstantin Kosta \u0110uki\u0107<\/h2>\n

Konstantin Kosta \u0110uki\u0107 was born in 1912 in Mladenovac, to his father Svetozar, a traditional shoemaker from Nemeniku\u0107e, and his mother Anka (Bela) Obradovi\u0107 from Me\u0111ulu\u017eje. He completed primary school in Mladenovac and attended grammar school in Palanka, Kragujevac and Ni\u0161, and later the Teacher Training School in Aleksinac and Jagodina.
\n
Kosta was the first member of the Communist Youth League (SKOJ) in the Kosmaj region. He worked as a teacher in Velika Krsna (1934\/36), and after completing his military service, from which he was discharged as a reserve officer, he served in Srednji Egri and Breznica. In 1941, he was a teacher in Mladenovac and Kora\u0107ica. He participated in all teachers\u2019 congresses and attended three teacher training courses: in Ivanjica in 1938, Asamata in 1939, and Sijarinska Banja in 1940.

Dimitrije Bajalica, Minister of Agriculture and President of the Cooperative Union of Yugoslavia, said about him:
\n
\u201cKosta was the most educated teacher I have ever met.\u201d<\/span>
\n
Kosta was also musically educated. In Srednji Egri, he prepared an excellent children\u2019s choir, which performed on Radio Belgrade in 1938. After returning from Belgrade, he organized concerts of that choir in Mladenovac, Aran\u0111elovac and Kragujevac.
\n
In 1941, Kosta was appointed secretary of the first party cell in Mladenovac during the war. In October 1941, he joined the partisans on Mount Rudnik. He was killed by German forces in Han-Pijesak in 1942 as a fighter of the First Proletarian Brigade.
\n
Primary School \u201cKosta \u0110uki\u0107\u201d began operating in 1968. In addition to the main school, Primary School \u201cKosta \u0110uki\u0107\u201d also includes branch schools\/divided departments in Markovac, Me\u0111ulu\u017eje, Pru\u017eatovac, Velika Ivan\u010da and Kora\u0107ica.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n

\n
\n \n <\/p>\n

   Since September 1, 2023, the principal of our school has been Ivana Mitrovi\u0107, a graduate philologist of the Japanese language.<\/p>\n

   She first began working in public educational institutions of the Republic of Serbia in 2001 as an English language teacher:\n\n\u2013 from February 2001 to September 2001 at Mladenovac Gymnasium\n\u2013 from September 2001 to September 2007 at the School of Economics and Trade in Sopot\n\u2013 from September 2007 at Primary School \u201cMom\u010dilo \u017divojinovi\u0107\u201d, where she obtained a permanent teaching position as an English language teacher on September 1, 2008.<\/p>\n

   She passed the state licensing exam for teachers in 2013.<\/p>\n

   Since 1999, she has worked as a freelance translator for institutions such as the Municipality of Mladenovac, the Red Cross of Mladenovac, and the Center for Culture and Tourism of Mladenovac.<\/p>\n

   From September 2014 to July 2016, she served as the head of the English Language Teachers\u2019 Association.<\/p>\n

   From July 2016 to July 16, 2018, she was appointed Assistant Principal of Primary School \u201cMom\u010dilo \u017divojinovi\u0107\u201d. In addition to the duties prescribed by the Law on the Foundations of the Education System, which include organizing teaching, assisting in the management of the school, and being responsible for the pedagogical work of the institution as well as other tasks defined by the school statute, she also worked on the following activities and projects:<\/p>\n

\u2013 Person responsible for the Information System of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development \u201cDOSITEJ\u201d, including maintenance, updating, and data entry
\n\u2013 Registration of Primary School \u201cMom\u010dilo \u017divojinovi\u0107\u201d in the AMRES network of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development
\n\u2013 Application of Primary School \u201cMom\u010dilo \u017divojinovi\u0107\u201d for pilot schools in the Ministry\u2019s \u201ce-Diary\u201d project
\n\u2013 e-Diary Coordinator
\n\u2013 Work on projects in which the school participated (as coordinator):
\n1. \u201cEnergy Efficiency in Public Buildings\u201d, implemented in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), the Ministry of Mining and Energy, and the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure. The project was approved for the branch school.
\n2. Application and implementation of the British Council project \u201cSchools for the 21st Century\u201d (one of ten pilot schools in Serbia)
\n3. Submission of extracurricular activities to the competition of the Institute for the Improvement of Education and Upbringing (seven activities of our school were selected as examples of good practice)
\n4. Application of teachers to the Ministry\u2019s \u201c2000 Digital Classrooms\u201d project (7 teachers selected)
\n5. Assistance to the principal in the implementation of the NIS company project \u201cTogether for the Community\u201d, including installation of a video surveillance system
\n6. Work on smaller school projects (implementation of the Tijana Juri\u0107 Foundation project \u201cWatch the Webinar \u2013 Stay Safe\u201d, and the project \u201cFrom Little League to Champions\u201d)
\n\u2013 Implementation of the Ministry\u2019s free textbooks project
\n\u2013 Participation in the selection of textbooks, cataloguing the selection and entering data into the \u201cDositej\u201d system
\n\u2013 Assistance to the principal in preparing documentation and checklists for regular and extraordinary school inspections
\n\u2013 Participation in forming classes and dividing students into groups (Technical Education, Informatics and Computing, Religious Education, Civic Education, Choir and Orchestra, etc.)
\n\u2013 Assistance to the principal in preparing and organizing seminars and professional development activities within the school
\n\u2013 Assistance to the principal in planning and implementing measures to improve the educational process and staff relations
\n\u2013 Close cooperation with the pedagogical-psychological service in working with parents, students, and teachers, reviewing pedagogical documentation and preparing reports
\n\u2013 Preparation of semi-annual and annual reports for the Belgrade School Administration, work on the Annual Work Plan and School Programme, preparation of the European Development Plan for participation in international projects: application to the eTwinning portal and initial work on Erasmus+ planning and projects
\n\u2013 Cooperation with the School Parents\u2019 Council and the Municipal Parents\u2019 Council
\n\u2013 Assistance in organizing the mock final exam and the final exam, preparation of exam result analyses and defining measures to improve student performance, implementation of initial Ministry tests and internal semester tests
\n\u2013 Procurement of teaching equipment and improvement of material and technical conditions in the school
\n\u2013 Preparation of requests to the City Secretariat for Education and Child Protection
\n\u2013 Preparation of documentation for current maintenance requests to the Municipality of Mladenovac
\n\u2013 Organization of municipal competitions
\n\u2013 Organization of transport and accommodation for students participating in city and national competitions
\n\u2013 Cooperation with the Red Cross; member of the Assembly of the Red Cross of Mladenovac
\n\u2013 Assistance in the implementation of all extracurricular activities in the school (cultural, scientific, and sports)
\n\u2013 Cooperation with the Ministry of Education, the Belgrade School Administration, the local government, the Ministry of Interior, and schools in the Municipality of Mladenovac through electronic, telephone, and written communication
\n\u2013 Since the launch of the e-Diary project, coordinator for the school, providing training for teachers on using the system and cooperating with the coordinator for the Unified Information System in Education (JISP)
\n\u2013 Continued professional development through various seminars, training programmes, and conferences, including:
\n\u2013 International English Language Teachers Conference in Hungary, Badacsony 2022, on the topic \u201cSocial Issues in Digital Literacy\u201d, as a participant and IATEFL scholarship holder
\n\u2013 International online conference EVE \u2013 Equal Voices in ELT, May 2023, organized under the auspices of IATEFL and ELTA Serbia, on the topic \u201cDigital Literacy Issues\u201d
\n\u2013 International training programme for gender equality in conference speaking \u201cEVE \u2013 Equal Voices in ELT\u201d, from November 2022 to March 2023, organized by IATEFL and ELTA Serbia
