Languages

   ​Language teaching plays an important role in the development of literacy, communication, critical thinking, and a culture of expression in students. Through Serbian language and literature, English, and French, students acquire knowledge that helps them express their thoughts clearly, understand different texts and cultures, and communicate more confidently in the modern world.

   In the "Kosta Đukić" Primary School, language teaching is organized in the main school and separate classes, in accordance with the age of the students and the organization of the teaching. The main school and the separate class in Velika Ivanča include students from the first to the eighth grade, while in Međulužje, Koracica, Koracički livade, Markovac and Pružatovac, teaching is organized from the first to the fourth grade.

Serbian language and literature

   ​Serbian is studied from the first to the eighth grade and represents one of the foundations of the entire education. In the younger grades, students develop initial literacy, reading comprehension, correct oral and written expression, and an interest in literature.

   In subject teaching, the content is expanded and deepened through the study of language, grammar, spelling, literary works and the culture of expression. Serbian language teaching from the first to the fourth grade is implemented in all school buildings, and from the fifth to the eighth grade in the main school and a separate department in Velika Ivanča.

English language

   ​English is studied as the first foreign language from the first grade. In the early grades, students acquire basic vocabulary and simple forms of communication through conversation, play, song, pictures, and various practical activities.

   In the older grades, they develop listening, reading, writing and speaking skills, expand their vocabulary and learn about the culture of English-speaking countries. English is taught from the first to the fourth grade in the home school and all separate classes, while from the fifth to the eighth grade it continues in the home school and Velika Ivanča. The school curriculum for the fifth grade lists English as the first foreign language and the fifth year of study. 

French language

   Добродошли у кутак француског језика, који се у нашој школи изучава као други страни језик од 5. до 8. разреда!

   Француски није само предмет у распореду часова – то је језик културе, који отвара врата ка једном потпуно новом свету лепоте и инспирације. Учење француског у основној школи осмишљено је као забавно и узбудљиво путовање.

   Наш главни циљ је да ученици кроз савремену наставу активно развијају све четири језичке компетенције: слушање, читање, писање и говор.

   Поред самог језика, ђаци од петог до осмог разреда откривају богату француску културу, историју, стрип, музику и филм и упознају се са франкофоним земљама.

   Сваке године у марту традиционално обележавамо Месец франкофоније кроз креативне радионице и израду паноа, где наши ученици деле своју љубав према француском језику и култури.

   Наш циљ је да часови француског језика буду простор креативности у којем ученици, кроз дружење и подршку наставника, граде самопоуздање и љубав према страним језицима.

Language activities

In addition to regular classes, students participate in literary and recitation activities, language workshops, school projects, performances and competitions. In this way, they apply languages in different situations, develop self-confidence in communication and become familiar with cultural and linguistic diversity.
