Class Teaching

   ​Classroom teaching encompasses the first cycle of primary education, from first to fourth grade. It is a period in which students acquire fundamental knowledge and habits necessary for further education, develop independence in learning, and gradually become capable of understanding the world around them.

   Through teaching the Serbian language, mathematics, nature and society, artistic and physical activities, students develop linguistic and mathematical literacy, curiosity, creative thinking, problem-solving skills and a responsible attitude towards themselves, others and the environment. Standards of educational achievements in the Serbian language, mathematics and nature and society have been established for the end of the first cycle. 

   Of particular importance in classroom teaching is the creation of a stimulating and safe environment in which each child can progress according to their abilities, needs and interests. In addition to acquiring knowledge, attention is paid to the intellectual, emotional, social, moral and physical development of students, as well as to fostering cooperation, camaraderie, tolerance and mutual respect.

   The teacher monitors the development of each student, encourages their motivation and self-confidence, and connects the teaching content with everyday experience through various forms of work. Through play, research, conversation, practical work, and joint activities, students are gradually trained for independent learning, communication, cooperation, and functional application of acquired knowledge. The modern teaching and learning program is focused on achieving outcomes and developing competencies that are the basis for lifelong learning.
