In the project "Around the World in 80 Days", the French teacher from the "Kosta Đukić" elementary school in Mladenovac, Mirjana Radonić, decided to bring schools from different parts of the world to hers, to introduce children to the culture and knowledge of others. To get to know the specifics and cooperate in many fields. The goal was primarily to put them in real-life situations of using the language where they would really have an end result.
After collaborating with the Italian school from Ladispoli, their journey took them to the wonderful Canadian school André Lorendo. The students had the opportunity to send video messages, letters, and today they continued their acquaintance with a live lesson on the Zoom platform.
Guided by the fact that nothing is unattainable, and that there are no lost illusions, but only found knowledge, they continue to learn together. In class, they communicated in French, corrected their mistakes, and received applause and praise. They promised to continue their virtual journey around the world.
We have seen that imagination and love know no boundaries in our beautiful project, in which we spread knowledge from all subjects, but we also talk about topics that have colored our everyday lives, about distance learning, about habits, about friendship, about the world...
Language is certainly not the source of all misunderstandings because we communicate very well in French, with their help we learn and correct our mistakes, and we also introduce our friends from Canada to the Serbian language.
We exchange video messages, letters, we learn from each other.
